A stone ‘A’ is dropped from the top of a tower 20 m high. Simultaneously another stone ‘B’ is thrown up from the bottom of the tower so that it can reach just on top of the tower. What is the distance of the stones from the ground while they pass each other?

After making the simulation to answer this question, we can answer many more questions like this:

  1. How long does stone A take to reach the ground?
  2. With what initial velocity should stone B thrown up so that it just reaches the top of the tower?
  3. How long does stone B take to reach the top of the tower?
  4. At what height from the ground do the two stones pass each other?

  6. What is the velocity of each stone when they pass each other?
