Your beautiful eyes

EmailPrintShare

Your dancing eyes dance forever

The hidden diamonds make them glow

The light – what about the light?

The light your beautiful eyes emanate?

There I am – aspiring to be a poet

Here I am – searching endlessly…. may forever.

I HAVE to let them know about you

and your beautiful eyes.

Can I, or can I not? Oh! horrible!

They look at me, can I ever forget the look?

The moist, dewy, pearly look?

Bring to a standstill in a look,

My pen, my blood, my hands, my heart.

Down the memory lane if I go, when I go,

Nothing but your eyes appear.

In my wildest, tamest dreams do they appear

But why do they haunt me so?

Plenty to understand, plenty to discover.

Far you may be, you seem so, you are.

But High Thinking –  that’s all it takes to cover

Your eyes so vast, and dancing forever.

But I never seem to proceed further than this

Perhaps with time, In my strife I’ll succeed

I have to let them know about you

and your beautiful eyes.

Can I, or can I not?  Oh! horrible!
