Sketches

- This is Seetha when she was a one year old baby. The resemblance to the original photo is very good! This was my valentine’s day gift to her in 2006!
- My cousin Tipu – one year old baby.
- Princess Diana – one of the most beautiful faces I’ve ever seen. I love her demure and vulnerable look. I sketched this in a portrait-sketching art book which already had the outlines. So I just had to do the shading by looking at the original.
- This is me (Gyani), sketched in flash by my colleague in TWWI – Ms. Asha.
- Abstract art in sketch pen – you can interpret it anyway you like and write your interpretations in the comments!
- This is Seetha when she was around 5 years old, dressed up as a dancer. This sketch has not turned out very well in terms of resemblance to the original photo.
- My friend Chandramohan – during our B.Sc days when we were staying at Ramakrisha Mission hostel. He patiently sat and posed for almost 1.5 hours to get this portrait done!
- Cindy Crawford – this is the second portrait in my portrait-sketching career. The first was Kate Winslet, which was one of my masterpieces. Unfortunately, I lost both these two when I gave them to a girl called Pooja Mahajan with the intention of getting her pictures to sketch! Neither did she give me her pictures nor did she return these two portraits! Luckily I had an old xerox copy of the sketch, which I have scanned.
- Krishna and Radha – sketched by Seetha. I can take credit for inspiring her to try her hand at sketching!
- My uncle Balaji – one year old baby and dressed as a girl. It was a fashion in the old days to dress up a male baby as a girl.
- My friend Moulshree – my classmate in 11th and 12th std at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Delhi.
- SMASHIN’ SCOPE: the 12 Memory Techniques outlined by Tony Buzan in his books ‘Use Your Memory’ and ‘Master Your Memory’.
- An artist in Atlanta (Underground Atlanta) did this portrait of mine in 5 minutes!
- My computer teacher’s husband. She was pretty and I wanted to sketch her portrait as a gift for her birthday. But she gave me a stamp sized photo of her husband instead, saying that would be a better gift, since she loves her husband so much. This was the result!
- My cousin Deepti – as a baby.
- Sketch by Seetha – my birthday gift from her for my 28th birthday.
